Title: Silver Gulls bathing on Cairns Esplanade

Medium: Oil painting, painted on a primed wooden panel, 20cm by 20cm.

Original Artwork by Rali Hart.

This oil painting is not framed. It does have hanging fittings and wire attached on the back.

The Silver Gull, Larus novaehollandiae, is a ubiquitous Australian bird including in our Cairns regions. These gulls were bathing themselves on the high tide along the Cairns foreshore. This breed likes to breed on costal islands, or around lakes and lagoons. I have never seen a baby Silver Gull in the wild, perhaps one day. It likes to eat worms, fish, crustaceans and insects.
